Esther Fortes takes her poetry book for children to Punta Umbría

The Patio las Letras of the Cultural Center of Punta Umbría will host this Thursday, July 28, the presentation of the book ‘The blue wings of versesone poemario for children Esther Forte. The act will begin at 8:00 p.m., with the intervention of María del Mar Pérez Calvo.

‘The blue wings of the verses’, published by the Niebla publishing house, is written by the teacher and writer from Huelva, Esther Fortes. It is a charitable work, since it has transferred its rights to the United Association against DIPG, a childhood brain tumor that is currently incurable.

The book is a call to children to read, to fly and discover stories between its verses.

Esther Fortes Quinta (Huelva, 1974) is a teacher of Therapeutic Pedagogy and a technician in Social Integration. A poetry enthusiast, she has twice won the first prize in the Marzaga Prose and Poetry Contest, convened by the ‘Marzaga’ Women’s Association, once with the poem ‘Mazagón’ and again with the poem ‘Silencio’ .

‘The blue wings of the verses’, with a prologue by Carmen Martagón, is his third collection of poems. In 2017 she published her first book, ‘Poemas de piedra y cristal’, and in 2019 she released the second: ‘Voces de altano’.
