The Huelva Port Authority has opened the public tender for the granting of Administrative concessions for the construction and operation of logistics warehouses and general service buildings in the Logistics Activities Zone of the Port of Huelva (ZAL)with the aim that entrepreneurs and investors establish themselves in it and thus be able to generate wealth, employment and added value in the Punta del Sebo Industrial Estate.
The offer has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE, number 172, of Tuesday, July 19, 2022 Sec. VB. Page 35439) and the deadline for receipt of offers will end on December 30, 2022.
The first phase that is now going out to tender affects a plot of land with an area of approximately 158,000 square meters divided into two large blocks, oriented towards four fundamental sectors: industrial, agribusiness, health and general logistics and urban distribution of goods.
This space will be complemented by another adjoining Francisco Montenegro Avenue for the location of more tertiary activities such as offices, restaurants or commerce, among others, in order to offer the Avenue a façade of higher architectural quality.

The president of the Port of Huelva, Pilar Miranda, has assured that “the ZAL will become an area for the creation of wealth, employment and opportunities for Huelva, since it will host complementary activities, sustainable projects from the environmental point of view and transformation, around the port, industrial, agri-food, logistics and distribution sectors, which generate added value for the city. For this reason, we invite companies to invest in this space, because we are convinced that it will be a safe value, that it will contribute to the economic development of Huelva”.
In this way, the project for the ZAL of the Port of Huelva will provide the port facilities with infrastructures and services with high added value, by attracting other economic,?modern and?environmentally sustainable activities, in addition to contributing to improving the competitiveness of the companies and generate quality employment in Huelva and its surroundings.
One of the strengths of the project lies in the fact that the Port of Huelva is characterized by its agility and efficiency in the provision of services, without congestion in its infrastructures. The options of the companies that present themselves to the project are multiple. On the one hand, there are the possibilities of growth as end investors, with the option of building their own facilities, or as logistics real estate investors managing the ZAL, providing services to third parties located in it.
