Closed the volleyball season in Huelva

The season closed volleyball in Huelva, in an act in which a total of ten clubs from the province collected their trophies.

The San Bartolomé sports pavilion hosted last Saturday the trophy delivery of the Provincial Championship of volleyball which thus closed the 2021/2022 season. More than 200 athletes gathered on a day that coincided with the celebration of the ‘Puerta del Andévalo’ tournament, which resumes its presence in the volleyball tournament calendar after the pandemic.

This act was attended by the deputy mayor of the San Bartolomé City Council, Jesús Fernando Peña, the vice president of the Andalusian Volleyball Federation and provincial delegate, Magín Fernández, the coordinator of referees of the province, Cristina López and other representatives of clubs and coaches .

The Huelva Volleyball Delegation gave a trophy to the first classified in each category in the Provincial Championship, thus remaining the classification in the different categories.

Male child category:

The Huelva Volleyball Delegation delivered commemorative plaques in recognition of the work of athletes, referees, clubs or entities in the province of Huelva in favor of this sport.

One of the winners was the referee Blanca Jara for her promotion to the national category, as well as the international referee Antonio Correa for his sporting successes as a referee in the final of the Women’s Super League or in the 2022 Mediterranean Games.

Huelva volleyball season closedAnother of the winners was CD Estuaria, a club that has completed 20 years last season dedicated to the training of athletes. Hundreds of girls and young people have been trained under the tutelage of this club from Huelva, the only one of this sport that currently survives in the capital of Huelva.

The Huelva Delegation also recognized the San Bartolomé City Council for its collaboration with the sport of volleyball.

Another Huelva recognized at this closing of the season has been the coach Juan Diego García Díaz, women’s national coach, coach of CV Haris, with whom he has been proclaimed champion of the Queen’s Cup, champion of the Women’s Super League and runner-up of the CEVChallengeCupW.

Finally, Juanmi González, the player from Huelva of the Spanish team and Unicaja Almería with whom he was proclaimed runner-up in the Cup and champion of the League and chosen in the ideal septet of the Superliga final.

A closing gala loaded with trophies and where coexistence and the values ​​of sport were the protagonists in the sports facilities of San Bartolomé de la Torre.
