The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Huelva presented this Friday in Bellavista Golf Club, the fifth edition of the Penguin Tournament Golf. The charity event, which has the collaboration of the Port of Huelva, will be held next Friday, August 19 at Bellavista Golf Club, for the benefit of the fight against this disease. The objective is, in addition to promoting healthy lifestyle habits, to raise funds that will go towards cancer research and the free services that the association provides in Huelva. After the success of the previous edition, it is expected to have around 100 participants.
The presentation of the tournament was attended by Pilar Miranda, president of the Huelva Port Authority, José Téllez, director of the Bellavista Golf Club, Gloria Puy, president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Huelva and Jesús Maza, president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Seville.
The president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Huelva, Gloria Puy, has emphasized “the importance for the association of being able to organize tournaments such as the Penguin Golf that help us to continue growing in order to reach all the families that they need and that these types of events are essential to achieve it. Many thanks to the Port of Huelva and Bellavista Golf Club and to all the companies that have collaborated with her” she stated.
For her part, Pilar Miranda, president of the Port of Huelva, declared that “for the Port of Huelva it is a pleasure to collaborate with the Spanish Association Against Cancer in a sporting event that, in addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, will help with its collection to this association to continue working to improve the lives of people affected by this disease and their families”.
He also stated that “the Port of Huelva aims to increase the volume of business and pass on the benefits to society, in the form of employment and opportunities, but we also work every day to improve the quality of life of citizens. That is why we accompany groups such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer in their initiatives”,
Jesús Maza, president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Seville, has also thanked Bellavista Golf Club for the great contribution that the celebration of this event represents in its course and the repercussion that this sport has, which attracts a multitude of people and has thanked the Port of Huelva and other collaborating companies for their support and collaboration in this solidarity and much-needed action”.
José Téllez, director of Bellavista Golf has appealed to all lovers of this sport to collaborate in this charitable cause, “spending a pleasant day on our golf course” and has thanked for the opportunity to collaborate in this charity tournament.
V edition of the solidarity tournament Pingüino Golf
The 5th edition of the Pingüino Golf solidarity tournament will be held again with a shooting start at 9:00. The price is €50. All the players will receive water, fruit and a ‘welcome pack’ with gifts during the course. In addition, like all the golf tournaments organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer, it will be linked to sun prevention. The award ceremony will take place after the cocktail and once it is over, there will be a raffle for gifts donated by the collaborating companies.
