Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report on the situation with the demolition air terminal Uktus in Yekaterinburg. As reported Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the building, which was defended by the public, was demolished in the early morning of November 26.

The building was the only object of this purpose in Russia, built before the Second World War.

In the spring of 2021, a new bus station, the Zolotoy shopping center, began to be built nearby. According to the project, for this it was necessary to demolish the old building.

The tender for the dismantling of the terminal building was posted on the public procurement website on November 5. On the 10th, the purchase was stopped at the request of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Social activists of the Ural capital submitted an application to the Ural Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects.

After the demolition of the building, all officials who made such a decision will be checked. The case will be under the special control of the RF IC.
