Governor of St. Petersburg Beglov named the reasons for the postponement of the introduction of QR codes

Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov stated that the authorities decided to postpone the introduction of QR codes for visiting catering establishments and shopping centers due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation and the desire to give the townspeople the opportunity to make New Year’s purchases.

On Thursday, November 25, the authorities of St. Petersburg postponed the introduction of QR codes for access to restaurants and shopping centers from December 1 to December 27.

In the city, from November 1, the entrance to mass events of more than 40 people was introduced via QR codes, and from November 15 – to sports and recreation facilities, cultural institutions and the registry office. These requirements do not apply to stores selling essential goods.
